About us

about-406-earthworks.png

We live in a boom town.  In all the exciting growth we’ve seen across the Valleys hasn’t gone unnoticed that some of the very people who built this community—our seniors and Veterans—have been unintentionally left behind when it comes to quality, friendliness, and affordable services. To fill this void in our community we collectively cooperated to join forces.

Thanks to the generosity of past customers and others who have donated to our services, time, tools, equipment, talent, advice, 406 Earthworks is able to offer free or deeply discounted lawn, tree trimming and property services to seniors & veterans throughout the Valleys. They are treasures within our treasure state, and we’re honored to help—plus, we have a lot of fun doing it.

At its heart, we are about reciprocity. We partner with deeply rooted, like-minded locals who understand that the resources we care for today are what will sustain the community tomorrow.

Many of us live right next to public lands where wildfires are a real concern—we don't just work in the Valley, we live here, too. That gives us a deep understanding of the terrain, the climate, and the quirks of getting supplies where they need to go.

Whether you’re building off-grid, looking for simple lawn care, tree planting, or comprehensive disaster mitigation assessment, land-clearing, re-landscaping, earth moving, trout-stocked wildfire ponds, fence repair or a high alpine gravity fed natural irrigation system that can handle our unpredictable seasons, we bring creativity, practicality, and a whole lot of 'good old-fashioned service' to every job.

Founded in 1998 and proudly run by folks born and raised right here in the Valley, our team is made up of  Local Tourists—lifelong outdoorsmen/women who know these mountains like an old friend. From Masoners, farmers, mobile mechanics, log home builders and Eagle Scouts to certified arborists, trail builders, wildland firefighters, ranch kids turned pest control experts—our backgrounds may be diverse, but our hearts are all rooted in the same soil.

For us it's simple: when you love where you live, you give back the best way you know how.

We would be honored to show you what that looks like—one lawn, one trail, one trout pond at a time.
